A former Mt. Lebanon School District administrator has been named principal at North Allegheny Intermediate High School.
Brendan J. Hyland was appointed to the position by the school board June 20. Mr. Hyland will earn an annual salary of $98,500, prorated due to date of hire, which will be determined upon his release by Mt. Lebanon.

Wasn't this the principal that took all the heat last year for the disruptive behavior of some of the Freshmen class during an assembly? The speaker was so annoyed and told the press that she had never encountered a more rude audience. Maybe Mr. Hyland saw the "handwriting on the wall".........
These are REAL PEOPLE. You are publicly naming them and fabricating things for which you have absolutely no proof. Consider what you are doing. I sure hope that the future candidates for jobs at the Mt. Lebanon School District don’t run into this blog. I assure you, the good ones will run for their lives.

Anon 7:51 -- Why don't you hope that job candidates run into this blog? Are you saying that the entire blog is bad because of some comments that are being made?
I don't understand what you are talking about in your comments about people fabricating things. Are you referring to the comments made before yours on this post?
If so, what did this person say that was fabricated? It sounded to me like that person was just wondering if it was the same principal that "took the heat" (in their words). What did the commenter before you say wrong?
Please clarify just what the heck you were trying to say in your comments. I'd love to know!
I'm the June 29th blogger and I am responding to the comments made by subseqent bloggers..
1. I know for a fact that Mr. Hyland was involved with the school assembly in which the Freshman class acted disrespectiveful to theinvited speaker.
2. The handwriting on the wall is in regard to the bad behavior of the student body. First we lost Jeb and now Mr Hyland has chosen to leave. Maybe Mr Hyland left for more $$ but I fell he left because of the bad press he received after the assembly.
Mr. Hyland recieved very favorable press. When I read it, I thought he was the one person who said something to the kids when they were out of line. I have dealt with him very closely and he always put the kids first! What a loss!!!!
I agree with the previous blogger. Lebo's loss is definitely NA's gain.
