Lebo: Department of Meaningless Statistics

Newsweek magazine is out with its annual list of the best high schools in America. Mt. Lebanon, which dropped off the list last year, is back on, at #988.

Lebo has learned, however, not to pay much attention to "best of" lists.

I agree that this list is ridiculous and not just because Lebo's rank is so low. I could list several school districts around the country that have very high average SATs and send 95% or more of their graduates to college that I can't even find on this list.
