Main Park Contract Trimmed To Add Play Equipment
Unfortunately, no one noticed that $78,000 worth of playground equipment had been removed from the contract to build the new "Martha's Playground" in our Main Park -- so the original contract has been trimmed in order to make sure that the playground actually has stuff to play on!

These are the same people that are trying to convince the community that we NEED a new "aquatic center", and that have been responsible for overseeing our current rec. dept., which loses more and more money every year. And they plan a playground, let a contract, and somehow don't notice that they have neglected to order any equipment - so they shift around some funds and take money from some playground features, including some concerned with safety. Some think that money should not be an issue when planning community "benefits", but money is a huge issue when those responsible for it are irresponsible!
