Lebo Resident Asks School Board To Drop Appeals
In January, William Witte and a handful of other Mt. Lebanon homeowners appealed to Mt. Lebanon commissioners to drop their attempts to appeal the assessment of recently purchased homes in the municipality.
Two months later the commissioners decided in the residents' favor, saying they would no longer appeal those assessments or participate in any pending or future appeals in 2006.
Now, Mr. Witte is trying to convince the Mt. Lebanon school board to do the same.

Unfortunately, since our taxes are so, they cannot look at sales price. A $300,000 home would have $10,000 a year property taxes. That's about $6000 more a year than a $300K home in other states. That's $500 more per month than if you lived in Cary, Carolina.
They must go back to 2002, if not ealier.
The School Board's actions are offensive. Not only do the School Directors not read the newspapers, apparently they endorse discrimination.
In Mt. Lebanon if you are not a "lifer" you are held to a different standard. This may be true in terms of youth sports, but it should not be true in property taxation.
Why was the United States founded?
AMERICA WAS FOUNDED BECAUSE OF UNFAIR TAXATION!
The Mt. Lebanon School Board needs to start reading the newspapers and the history of the United States of America!
