Party Cake Coming to Lebo
The Party Cake Shop, a long-time Brookline institution, is opening a store on Beverly Road in Mt. Lebanon later this month.

This is bad news for Cupcake Class hipsters. Party Cake looks to be about as traditional as they come, and if it's doing well enough to open a Lebo branch, then traditional business must be good indeed. Donuts for everyone! Welcome!

I must admit I was sad to see Portabello leave. It was a favorite where my husband got me many lovely gifts of jewelry and clothing accessories. I am thrilled, however, that a bakery is coming to our part of Mt. Leb! Yum!!
Business is coming to town, in spite of the traffic and parking snarls. The really great thing is we get to eat cake - a Mt. Lebanon tradition.
Nice for Beverly Road. Wish it were Washington Rd. instead. Beverly gets a nifty destination bakery, Washington gets another karate school.
We need a grocery store...when will one come to Mt. Lebanon like McGinnis Sisters!
Much to my consternation, Brookline is not yet a destination for the cupcake class. But I think you will enjoy Party Cake.
