MLSD Hires New Superintendent
The new superintendent of Mt. Lebanon schools is an honest, straightforward communicator who understands the district's high expectations and is eager to learn its culture and history, school board President Joseph Rodella said last night.
The board voted 9-0 to give John R. Allison, 43, a four-year contract and a starting salary of $150,000. Mr. Allison, who did not attend the meeting, will begin work July 9.

Wow, no comments ?...I find this odd. Is there a psycologists in the house?
Probably people reserving judgement and hoping for the best. No previous superintendent experience from this one. He has had media exposure before in dealing with a bad situation. He is well spoken and will look great on camera. He has also worked for some really good school districts in an assistant superintendent role. Very nice man with a young family that he will be moving here to Mt Lebo with.
Feedback is good on Mr. Allison. Kudos to the Board for an open and effective process.
I've also heard good feedback on Mr. Allison.
Anyway, I'm reserving judgement, but wish him great success (for his sake and ours).
