Luma Goes Smoke Free

Mt. Lebanon's newest restaurant, Luma, has joined the ranks of restaurants that have voluntarily gone smoke-free. It now joins Bado's and Enotria as the only establishments in Mt. Lebanon that have banned smoking.

I was at Caruso's Pizza today and noticed the "No Smoking" sign on their pop machine. I wonder if there are other places in town that have a smoking ban in place that we don't know about. If you do know of other places, please share them here in the comments section!

Funny-Luma is smoke free except tonight when they had smoke alarms and a visit from the fire department. Some minor adjustments are needed with the ventilation system. Staff handled it with class. The service was more than excellent and the food was beautiful and delicious. The pork dish with guacamole was exceptional.

Caruso's cross-street competitor, Mineo's, used to have a big smoke problem. They went no-smoking a couple of years ago. Virtually all the fast-food restaurants are non-smoking as well. I can't recall ever seeing someone smoke at Blue Horse Coffee. Are they non-smoking?

Bado's is much improved with its beer selection with reasonable prices and being smoke free.

Did you ever notice the gathering of "health care workers" from the Washington Road medical providers' offices smoking on Washington Road? Great marketing.........

Today's news revealed that UPMC has banned cigarette smoking outside of their health care facilities. Nice job!
...Hope other health care providers follow this good example. 'Heard that a new smoking cessation medication (Chantix)works great.

There was definitely no smoking at Linguini's in Mt Lebanon, but there was mold on the food! We went on Saturday June 23rd. YUCK, very rude manager too.

I can't wait to try Luma's. I'm glad it's smoke-free.
