I really hope he buys that for at least 10 years and keeps it turned off.
The worst thing the Steeler organization and also the city could do is introduce a character based on the steel icon. That is taking the city many steps in the reverse direction. Pittsburgh should not be known for stell in 2007.
Get rid of the mascot!
I love Steely McBeam. I think he appropriately represents and celebrates Pittsburgh's heritage.
We could have had "Proud Periogie", "Smiley the Cookie", or
"Heinz, the Quaterback Ketchup Bottle" as a mascot.
