Commissioners Approve Land Sale For Hotel
Mt. Lebanon commissioners last night approved the sale of a 12,600-square-foot property along Washington Road for a hotel development.
The property, located adjacent to the Howard Hanna building, has been the subject of various development possibilities over the past five years. The proposed buyer, Harmar-based Kratsa Properties, intends to use the land for a nationally franchised hotel.

Please forgive me Bill, but I collapsed in giggles when I clicked on the link. An image flashed and I imagined a Super 8 along Washington Rd. Then I was mortified and... silent.
Reading through their site gives me the impression they're a solid group. I just hoped we'd get more of a boutique hotel than a large neon-signed chain. Perhaps we will?
The it's supposed to be a suites hotel, so presumably it will be one of the Marriott suites franchises shown in the lower right. Here's hoping that the proximity of a good suites hotel will help rent office space uptown.
