Our Savior, Hope Lutheran Churches To Merge
Two Lutheran churches in the South Hills will merge in May, joining forces in an attempt to bring vibrancy back to their once-flourishing congregations.
At both Our Savior Lutheran Church in Mt. Lebanon and Hope Lutheran in Upper St. Clair, membership has dropped from close to 400 each in the early 1970s to slightly more than 100 each now, said the Rev. Jamison J. Hardy, who is the pastor at Our Savior and the vacancy pastor at Hope Lutheran.
