Howe Elementary Dedicates Playground
The Howe Elementary School community recently dedicated a new playground as a result of the fund-raising efforts of the Howe Playground Friends Committee. The committee raised a total of $31,894 as a result of numerous donations and fund-raisers by the Mt. Lebanon school since the project began in 2006.
Students were asked what they would like to see in a new playground and based on their feedback, the committee selected play sets that included monkey bars, rings and other components that would increase upper body use. The new playground replaces one that was installed in 1993.
