The Library keeps growing … and … growing … and … growing ...
This week the MTL Phase 1 Government Efficiency Study report was released and reviewed by the Commission. The Library was included in the study as a compliment to its own continuous improvement efforts.
In the report, the first bullet on the Library speaks volumes:
"The Mt. Lebanon Public Library is a special resource to the community - it exceeds virtually every library service benchmark utilized by the project team and exceeds the performance of regional and national libraries."
Congratulations to the hard working staff and dedicated volunteers who care for and nurture this "special resource."
On reflection - - I now understand why the Commission put the Assistant Manager and a former Commissioner on the Library Board. It was obviously a learning opportunity in the Municipality's own continuous improvement efforts.
