Water Main Break Closes High School

Mt. Lebanon High School is closed today because of a water main break under the school parking lot, district spokeswoman Cissy Bowman said. No damage has been reported in the school, but water service has been cut to the building, she said. It was unclear when service would be restored. The tennis courts and part of the lawn behind the school are flooded, Bowman said.

PAWC has alot of nerve to raise water rates with all the non-weather related water main breaks we have had lately.
Why are PAWC crews on the scene repairing a "school district-owned" water pipe?

I don't know the answer to the question, but if the District manages its water lines like I manage mine, then the District might have a contract with PAWC to undertake repairs of this sort. It's hardly unusual.

I'll keep you posted on the existence of a PAWC contract.

I heard back from the school district.
"The District maintains the lines and does not have a contract with the water company."
Why did news reports show PAWC employees on school district property making pipe repairs?
