Book Cellar Celebrates First Year At ML library
The Book Cellar at the Mt. Lebanon Public Library will celebrate its first anniversary Dec. 3 with an open house at the library. Started by members of the Friends of the Mt. Lebanon Library, proceeds from the Book Cellar help finance the library.
"This (Book Cellar) was in response to two book sales we held at the library every year," said Susan Fretterd, a member of the Friends. "It was a bigger and bigger job each year and we had to rent space for storage and haul the books back and forth, and it was unwieldy. And we asked, 'Why not have books for sale year round.'"
