Thank you for posting this wonderful news. The Mt. Lebanon Fire Department is an outstanding organization, staffed by many volunteers who have very generously sacrificed many hours by contributing to our community in so many ways. The money could not have been awarded to a better organization.

As a 33 year resident of our community I have never heard a single complaint about the Mt Lebanon Fire Department. I have heard very few complaints about the police department; some complaints about Public Works; but mention the school district and the community becomes livid!

Maybe the school district can learn some basic principles about managing an organization from our outstanding fire department, like the importance of: hiring and training competent personnel; courtesy; maintaining ethical and moral standards from the hired help; establishing a mission, vision; having a focus to the mission; etc
