Trib: Sibling rivalry possible on Mt. Lebanon board
Small-town government is notorious for its bickering. In Mt. Lebanon, a sibling rivalry could ratchet the drama to new highs -- or lows.
School board candidate James Cannon won his race in the primary Tuesday on a platform of change. His big sister, Josephine Posti, is the board president.
There's more:
-- He's a Republican. She's a Democrat.
-- He opposes the controversial renovation of the high school. She supports it.
Neither Posti nor Cannon would discuss their relationship, or even the last time they talked or saw each other.

The School Board Presidency sure becomes Josephine Posti. Her photo is proof.

Let's, instead, applaud Mr Cannon and Ms Posti for sticking to the issues and not getting sucked in to this non-story. Must have been a slow day at the Trib.

I thought she had a very painful shoulder problem....looks like a surgeon decided it required a major face lift ? Maybe if she doesn't use her mouth as much her rehab will be of less discomfort.

To those of you reading these comments after the Trib gets around to fixing its mistake, I’ll help you make sense of the earlier comments: When the Trib first ran the story, the photograph it captioned “Josephine Posti” was not a photograph of Jo Posti but someone else entirely.
I find it telling that they mention his profession and employer but not hers, even though they are both in public relations for large corporations.
David,
Jo Posti's employer, Pennsylvania American Water Co. (PAWC), is about to hit us with a big price increase and Jo will likely be the one to *paint the lipstick on that pig* to make it appear like it is exactly like what we need for a 21st. century public water system and is in keeping with the programatic needs of the system monopoly...just like the High School !

David (Brown),
I'm curious: When you said the difference was “telling,” what did you mean? What did you infer from the difference?
Cheers,
Tom
