The Mt. Lebanon board of commissioners released the names of the applicants for D. Raja's 1st Ward seat this week, and will interview candidates on Monday.
Applicants include T. Michael Brown, Frank Horrigan, John Bendel and Bonnie VanKirk. Commissioners will interview candidates starting at 6 p.m. June 20 in the commission chambers

This isn't your grandfather's 1st Ward, that's for sure.

To maintain impartiality in the upcoming race, we should probably not select one of the existing candidates.
The school board made sure Lebowitz would be running before they appointed him.

David Brown, I was thinking the same thing.
David Huston, Lebowitz wasn't sure if he was going to run when asked during his interview.
