The Almanac: Mt. Lebanon leads list of qualifiers
Mt. Lebanon led the charge of area runners during the WPIAL cross country championships held at Coopers Lake campground. The boys as well as the girls took home the runner-up trophies in the Class AAA division.
In Class AA, the South Fayette girls finished fourth and qualified for the PIAA championships set for Saturday, Nov. 6 in Hershey.
Despite rainy, muddy and cold conditions, which veteran coaches claimed to be the worst they had experienced, the Lebo ladies persevered.
