Romance Novelist Has Love For Mt. Lebanon

When she's not traveling through time, posing seductively for 17th century artist Peter Lely or juggling two love interests, Mt. Lebanon native Campbell Stratford takes the 44U home to her Washington Road loft.

The heroine of romance novelist Gwyn Cready's third novel, "Flirting with Forever," is an art historian at the Carnegie Museum of Art, who discovers a time portal that sends her back to 1600s London. There, she meets Mr. Lely, portrait artist for the royal court, and an adventure -- involving time travel, the afterlife, nude portraits and Aldo Coffee -- ensues.

Lebo Resident Gwyn Cready Wins Romance Novel Award

Gwyn Cready of Mt. Lebanon was awarded the Best Paranormal Romance Novel at the Rita Awards on Saturday in Washington, D.C. "Seducing Mr. Darcy," Cready's winning title, involves time travel to Regency England, and romance, of course.

Hosted by the Romance Writers of America, the RITA Awards promote excellence in the romance genre. Cready's third novel, "Flirting with Forever," is scheduled to be published in April 2010.

Lebo Writer Up For Romance Novel Award

Gwyn Cready, a novelist from Mt. Lebanon, has been nominated for a prestigious award for romance novels. Cready's "Seducing Mr. Darcy" (Pocket Books) is a finalist in the Paranormal Romance category of the RITA Awards, sponsored by the Romance Writers of America.

Set in Pittsburgh, the book features locales including the National Aviary, the Cathedral of Learning, the Monongahela Incline and Mt. Washington. "Seducing Mr. Darcy" is Cready's second novel.

The RITA Award winners will be announced July 18 at the Romance Writers of America Conference in Washington, D.C.

The Denis Theatre Has A Blog

Mt. Lebanon residents Gwyn Cready and Chris Schultz have launched a blog called "The Second Act of Mt. Lebanon's Denis Theatre". According to the blog:
