P-G: "True Blood's" Joe Manganiello visits old stomping grounds

Even werewolves can go home again.

Honored by Mt. Lebanon High School among its "Great" alumni Friday, "True Blood's" Manganiello, 34, was greeted by giggling schoolgirls and beaming teachers as he talked to the students in Cindy Schreiner's drama class.

"My mom loves you!" yelled a girl ascending a stairwell, prompting him to smile and shoot back "Tell her I said hello."

P-G: 'True Blood' role catapults career of Mt. Lebanon's Joe Manganiello into stratosphere

Joe Manganiello is having more than "his moment"; he's having a whole summer of them.

From GQ, Entertainment Weekly and Muscle & Fitness magazines to HBO's hit vampire series, "True Blood," the Mt. Lebanon native suddenly seems to be everywhere. Last week, he was in New York City, filming a guest spot on USA Network's "White Collar," which stars his old Carnegie Mellon University buddy, Matt Bomer.

Trib: A smokin' hot June is on tap for Mt. Lebanon native

Mt. Lebanon native and certified hottie Joe Manganiello (winner of the the Cause You're Hot award at the recent NewNowNext Awards) is set to heat up the small screen this summer.

The actor, who plays werewolf Alcide Herveaux on HBO's "True Blood," says he'll be continuing to show off his fab physique when the new season debuts June 26.

Mondesi's House: The Next Superman Could be Yinzer Joe Manganiello

Joe Manganiello, best known for his roles as "Flash Thompson" in the Spiderman movies and "Alcide Herveaux" on HBO's True Blood, is apparently on the short list to potentially take over as Superman in the character's next feature film, which will be produced by Christopher Nolan (Inception, The Dark Knight).

Normally I don't post about movie rumors on the site, but this is noteworthy from the standpoint that Manganiello is from Mt. Lebanon and graduated from Mt. Lebo back in 1995, where he played varsity football and was the captain of his basketball and volleyball teams.
