Mt. Lebo Residents Say Street Traffic Too Dangerous

Mt. Lebanon resident Nicole Molinaro said she hoped signs the traffic board put up on her street would warn drivers of cross traffic, but that message has apparently been lost.

Molinaro told Channel 4 Action News' Ashlie Hardway that an accident Thursday afternoon on Kenmont Avenue sent a vehicle into her yard.

Sorry. Until the powers that be realize that until you speed the flow on the "highways", you will have people using roads such as Kenmont as cut throughs. Instead, we will continue to waste money on speed humps, etc. while not addressing the root cause of the cut throughs. Of course, this is Mt. Lebanon so we will waste the tax dollars on the speed humps and then "call them a succeess" without any real measurement.

Since there was no forethought by the myriad of government entities that make up the South Hills region we completely lack true limited access highways and instead rely on regular roads to serve this purpose. Until we focus some joint efforts to address these roads (e.g. Washington Road/West Liberty ALL THE WAY TO THE TUBES), we will continue to have this cut through mess.
